Worker terms

These Worker Terms are a contract between you and Keeping Table Etiquette (KTE), LLC (“KTE”). By creating an account or using the KTE website or mobile app, you agree to them. They apply to worker and individual accounts. Company administrators are also bound by the Employer Terms at /terms/employer.

What KTE is

KTE is a record-keeping and workplace tool for tipped hospitality work. It is not a law firm and does not create an attorney-client relationship. ADR letters are your records. They are not a filing with a government agency unless you send them yourself. KTE, Keeping Table Etiquette, and Keeping table etiquette through compliance are trademarks of KTE.

Plans

Document payroll is $20 per month or $200 per year (shift log, tip ledger, CSV export). App services is $40 per month or $400 per year and includes payroll plus swap, complaints, and the workplace tools. Annual plans bill ten months for twelve (two months free). Attorney referral insights is a separate paid plan at $399 per month or $3990 per year, with a 14-day trial. Signed-in users may log a short free trial of shifts before payroll is required. Checkout stays in the app. Subscriptions renew until canceled in Stripe billing. Checkout defaults to monthly; you can choose annual before paying.

Guest compliments

If you share your public rate link or QR, a guest may leave a rating, preset tags, and a short note. Those entries are timestamped and are not editable by you or by KTE except to remove illegal content or to delete them when you delete your account. The public page does not show your email, legal name, or workplace roster. Guests are not creating an account.

Closeout receipt images

If you scan a closeout receipt, the photo stays on your device. KTE's servers store only the numbers you save on a shift (sales, tips, tip-out). We do not receive, store, or show the image to your employer.

Who owns what

You retain ownership of the shift, tip, and complaint content you enter (“Your Records”). You grant KTE a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, display to you, and—where you have joined or privately linked a store—include Your Records in anonymous aggregates as described below. KTE and its licensors own the software, site, mobile app, models, templates, trademarks, documentation, and data-room materials. Paying for a plan does not transfer that IP to you.

Your records

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Do not enter someone else’s shifts as your own. Location managers must not use the workplace dashboard to identify individual workers below the k ≥ 5 threshold.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk-export other people’s data. Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent access controls, k-anonymity, or paywalls. Do not use the Services to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a machine-learning or foundation model (yours or a third party’s). Do not abuse swap boards or harass coworkers. We may suspend accounts that violate this.

Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the mobile app Settings screen or https://kte-app.vercel.app/account.

Disputes; Florida arbitration

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except for (a) claims that may be brought in small-claims court or (b) applications for injunctive relief to protect KTE’s intellectual property or your privacy, any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Florida. You and KTE waive class, collective, and representative actions. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a Florida state or federal court of competent venue.
